Pictures that lie
I chose the Tv Guide cover of Oprah because of all the manipulated pictures I saw this one was the picture that impressed me the most. The picture is Oprah's face with the body of actress Ann-Margaret. The magazine did not ask the permission of neither of them and neither of them knew this was going to happen. Ann-Margaret's fashion designer was the one to figure it all out when he recognized the dress Oprah is "wearing." I think this picture is harmful because first of all they did not have their permission to do it and second of all having my face cut out to be put in a different body would be hurtful because they did not consider the rest of my body to be good enough for the cover and third of all what an ungrateful surprise both of them received when they saw this magazine cover.
The video I chose about image manipulation is a video from a Dove campaign for girls against the wrong image girls and women have about the models they see on magazines. Many girls and women try to be like the models and famous actresses they see on magazines and many girls become obsess with this perfect image that they see. Many girls and women end up having surgeries to get this image or many end up having eating disorders because they try so hard to get the perfect body of the perfect women on the magazine when in real life that image is manipulated.

That's amazing - the neck thing was weird!
ReplyDeleteYour picture you show is ridiculous. That is so random how someone can do that without their permission
ReplyDeleteI used the picture of Oprah and the Dove video too! Great minds think alike!
