Revised blog for september 22- Copyright

Tuesday in class Mr. Jason Hardin gave a presentation about Copyrights and how they work and the consequences for violating them and even showed us how to copyright our own documents. I was very impressed with a lot of things I learned during his presentation. I thought CopyRights where a new thing from our generation but realy it goes back to 1790 when the first copyright law was passed. Now it is a very famous law and now a copyright work can be protected until 70 years after the death of the author.

We also learned how we as Trinity students should not download or illegally share files in our computers because they can easily be detected by the people who inforce the law and we may be fined.

My personal opinion on this is that back in Honduras I could easily use Limeware to dowload free music without having to pay it and it is something everbody does, but here in the United States I don’t think about downloading things into my computer because here you do get fined and it is a whole legal mess. I do understand why the artist copyright their songs but I really don’t understand why are there so huge fines if you break the law.
